Sister Alice Pruneau, her soul and her brushes
The Sisters of the Good Shepherd of Quebec offer you an exhibition of works of art created by an artist still little known to the general public. Deceased at the age of 100 in June 2013, Sister Alice Pruneau had a prolific and multidisciplinary career from 1939 to 2003. Imagine the range of her works!
The exhibition we have developed focuses on the years 1940 to 1970, her "Modern Arts" period, years following her graduation from the École des Beaux-Arts de Québec. As you will see in the attached documentation, Sister Alice is part of a minority of women artists at that time and the fact that she is a nun makes her even more unique.
